I think I might be hanging around here too much when I turn a grocery list into a poem.

A DOZEN EGGS without the shell
cholesterol free to make me well
NONFAT MILK from a nonfat cow
and a SKINLESS CHICKEN from a skinless fowl

Don't forget to get some FISH
to prepare a healthy seafood dish
And too, I guess we need some TEA
since caffeine is taboo for me

OATS and BRANS and plenty of fibe
I know will help keep me alive
You'd best get plenty of T.P. too
to wipe away my residue

No beef, no salt, no chips and dips
will ever cross these pouting lips
As I watch twinkies from afar
and dream of Snicker's candy bars

Some MELBA TOAST, a BOTTLE OF WINE
to somehow sate this heart of mine

(Fortunately, I am not on a strict diet like this but fear that one day I will be...sigh!  I snuck the wine in.*g*)

Sure does look like my grocery list. Except for the wine, you can keep it. When your cholestrol gets too high thats what happens to your diet.

A poem from a grocery list.  I couldn't resist reading and was glad I did.  I wrote one about my mailbox so I understand the feeling.  Really enjoyed!!

And a mighty fine list it is!  LOL on the TP line... I'm sure I should be shopping this same way but I so like my chocolate chip cookies.

Very clever writing, Mike.  Hope you don't have to go on that diet!!

The sign of a dyed in the wool poet, to my way of thinking, when even our grocery lists are not exempt from verse! This is clever, Mike. (o:

Thanks you all for the great comments.  I've been away for a few days and it looks like I've some catching up to do.
