~*~ My Crystal Heart ~*~

I wish to show you
my crystal heart
Gossamer, fragile.
Mended so many times
Protected, shielded
Suspicious and empty.
Fear rises at its very sight
Like a child hiding candy
I keep it out of view
Hoping that guarded
It will heal.
Does it beat?
It must
For am I not alive?
It lived in an abyss
Cold, dark
Hidden in fear.
Its companions were
Evil memories
Tucked safely away
In perfectly
Sealed little boxes.
It has not seen
Light or love
For too long.
I open it
With trepidation
Quivering hands.
But...
If I show it to you
Do you promise
Not to drop it?

Mysteria~
Oh, my !  What a crystal treasure to behold.
This one is for me - 'yes' ? ? ? ? ?

When I get home this evening -
I will print and frame it.
Thank you, for this beauty.

Just A Woman: you truly flatter me that it is even good enough to be kept anywhere.  It was a sad write.

Marge ~*~ My goodness I can't believe that you liked something I did that much, and yes please do take it.  Anything I write is to be shared if anyone wants it.  Again, coming from you, this comment means more than you can even begin to realize for it is you that makes me try harder.

Martie ^*^ You are too sweet, oh but where that true.

Sue ~ You are too sweet, and thank you for stopping in!

This is charmingly sad, yet precious to behold. Thank you for the gift from your boxes.
