the voice of the poet speaks to me in the silence of the night
telling of loves gone wrong and of hearts made right
she speaks with a voice so clear, so soft and so sweet
that upon hearing it, my life is made complete

she tells me of her life, and shares with me her heart
and every word, every line she speaks, is a work of art
proclaiming in those words how she faced her fears
how she rose and met them, battled through the tears

now she stands here again with part of her life's story
she asks not for fame and she asks not for glory
all she asks is for one moment of your time
to listen to her words, and hear her heart in rhyme

Sir Sven....where did THIS lovely gem come from...

O Poet, how you write!

and like a soft glove's challenge to those other poets, to hold forth the light, and show the way...

I could just imagine her standing speaking with you. Only one so intuned to others hearts can write as you do.

You know that feeling when someone says something so incredibly amazing that for a swiftly sweet moment, everything pauses and sparkles? Feels as if someone grabbed your heart itself and gave it a hug...
Your words do that, especially these. Magical Sven Pen.

When my sleep is broken
And I shake from nightmares,
I turn on the computer
Lose my troubles and cares
In the words of poets.
With some, I sympathize
Others astonish
With sweet coated lies.
I cry, I laugh,
I'm touched in some way
Without sleep, I'm refreshed
For another day.

I love your poem, Sven... and hope you don't mind my thoughts wandering. *S* (Now if only I had a poet to cuddle, the computer would stay lonely! LOL.)
