Incandescent

To some a quiet, nervous tune
Winding slowly through a room,
Suspended here from conversation,
Reminding there of how the moon
Beams wondrously, with love's persuasion,
Is not enough.

RMW, I admire the clever deception of your poem, as it reflects (obviously) the characteristics of the very theme of incandescence. A nicely written, rather curious piece. Thanks for it.

Oh, yes, tis not enough but for some it is all there is.  Love the feel of this, had to read twice and must go reassure myself of the meaning of incandescent.

Within the beat and hum
that internalized drum
fills the air,
resounds there -
fades with the heart,
fades with a start.

Claire...thank you for your thoughtful comments.

Martie....I am generally going backwards...which may account for any confusion.

Paula...Nicely said...not sure it's true...but thank you.

Virginia....I had to look it up too.

Corinne....Or not....but if subject to arythmia, occasionally skips a beat. Thank you for sharing verse.
