The autumn night is still and cold.
The moon is hiding now and then
Behind the clouds, but gleams like gold
Each time that it returns again.
I watch it and remember when
We were together, you and I.
Where have the years all gone since then?
I miss you more as time goes by.

In dreams your form I still enfold
And like a lion in his den,
I guard the secrets left untold
And hidden from the eyes of men.
They're buried in the deepest fen,
Where waters weep and curlews cry.
Not buyable for sou or sen.
I miss you more as time goes by.

I nestle like a winter wren,
Where my golden memories lie
And count the reasons, ten times ten,
I miss you more as time goes by!
