Pheromones

Are they a blessing or a curse
These pheromones I put in verse
The scents that rouse our libidos
A curse the way they come and go

For true it seems we radiate
Without intent alone no date
Or for the wrong soul undisguised
And we're approached quite surprised

Ah but when they coincide
Like a honeymoon with groom or bride
Or when that jock became sincere
A charged attraction becomes quite clear

How best we deal when ours unleashed
unbidden when we want them not
attraction physical yet to one forbidden
someone who's already tied the knot

Worse yet we know we've loosed them
in one we know is just bad news
If we respond it won't end well
leaving us crying the same old blues

Pheromones a curse or blessing
These chemicals just from your caressing
I'm helpless under the spell you've cast
if I couldn't smell my love still lasts

The first duty of love is to listen.

Wil,
I agree with Paula - that last line is a killer. Panne

They're a blessing - They've gotta be... Where ever would we be without love and lust, my friend?...

Nice job here..
