The Ageless Dream

Oh mother hen, Oh mother when
Can I step out the babies pen.
For I have grown of age by law
And he is just beyond the door.

I see a magic world outside
Just waiting me a loving bride.
I would this kingdom be it's queen
It is a vision I have seen.

I'm ready for this knight to come
And to this one I will succumb.
I'll know him by the oath he swears
And by my favors that he'll wear.

I'll stake my life upon this troth
This lovers oath sworn by both.
Like generations through the years
Dispite your second thoughts and fears.

I know this is a dream to you
But I would have the dream come true.

out of the mouths of babes, huh sweet father Sy?

and tho its hard to let them go,
she must chase her dreams ...
these you've written
in loving rhyme schemes.

We dream these happily ever afters for ourselves... and then later for our children.
beautiful poem of parental love Sy-babes.

Oh it's so hard to let them go and make mistakes that they'll make.
They just can't wait to spread their wings.

Very nicely done, Seymore.
Enjoyed the "off-rhymes" you used.

OK, SY... If you're gonna be that way about it... I'll hop on a plane & fly to Florida & come knocking on your door....

Oh... I like this poem, btw..
