It was a fleeting second, within time’s shifting sand,
When we first as lovers met, when first I took your hand,
You were but a fantasy, a vision in my mind,
When I commenced my journey, not knowing what I’d find,
In you I saw an angel, enraptured by your charms,
I slowly walked towards you, I took you in my arms,
I’d never seen such beauty, nor touched such loveliness,
I longed to taste your velvet lips, to feel your soft caress,
I sought your sensual treasures, sweet wine of goddess kiss,
In light of Luna’s golden glow, consumed in passion’s bliss,
It was a fleeting second, when found what Byron meant,
“She walks in beauty like the night,” I was to heaven sent,
I was but a prisoner, begging to be free,
Within love’s fleeting second, was freed eternally.

I held you close within my arms, I felt your warm embrace,
As from above, the welkin lights, shown down upon your face,
I awoke to all my dreams, within your beauty there,
As I looked upon your face, as stroked your silken hair,
I heard sweet music of the muse, we danced throughout the night,
Free as the summer winds that blow, as one we did unite,
I felt the splendor of your soul, as heard your siren’s song,
Breathing in your fragrant scent, I captured all I long,
For time stood still, my Venus fair, whil’st held you in my arms,
The moon itself, in sky above, bowed to your beauteous charms,
My eyes drank of your loveliness, soft grace of supple limb,
Fair creature of the welkin blue, angelic seraphim,
I kissed the smoothness of your skin, as gazed into your eyes,
With soft caress, on feathered wings, I floated on night’s skies.

The morning star, you were the night, we danced ‘cross heaven’s floor,
Upon the clouds on winds of time, my darling Terpsichore,
I sang to you love’s madrigal, I’ll love you evermore,
I whispered softly to the wind, I love you evermore.

that you had been doing some tweeking...I'm
so glad to see that you tweeked it to your
liking...this is just fantastic!! The
visions that played out in this...the
meeting...the expectations...and then
finding what had been longed for...and so
much more...the imagery is superb and your
internal rhyme and cadence...ahhhhhh you

I must concur with Butterflies' "amazing." This is beautiful, my friend.
