It's not that I can't finish this on my own it's just that I don't want to. I want you to help me. Add a verse to this start.....c'mon let me see what you can do!

LOST IN SIGHT

I found you in a sea so dark and deep
lost in shadows of night thrills.
I could see that as you gathered grief
you were headed for a spill.

Your eyes were jaded emeralds harsh
from fears you tried to hide.
But I knew inside that soul gone stark
was a heart I could revive.

The nights were timeless hiding truth
in the vacant rooms of gold.
And in the street sense ways of youth
you'd let your values go.

Lost in a nightlife trading worth
where a lovelight never burns
You stood with souls of bitter work
to feel the worst you'd learned

and.............................

The poet is like a cocoon; in him the caterpillar of the past finds rest, and from him the butterfly of the future emerges.

But you took me in and held my hand,
let me cry till the fear and hurt faded.
Healing my heart with your kind understand
now I see the light in you...these eyes no longer jaded.

A lifeline thrown across your path
Though there, not always seen
Take comfort in the simple fact
I'm here, beyond the green.

Out of the stories, laced strongly with pain;
Deep in the hopes long denied,
Into the night as we talked the wee hours ...
Cleansing her soul as she cried.

Unleash the sorrow of the soul
In the burrow of the night
Strong are the arms to hold another
Until the dawn makes light

Didn't I do this already? Ok just for you picnic partner

your sorrow hardens every tear
I see your heart is filled with ice
the shadow of the cross you bear
will be lost in me... in a trice

And because I'm not going insane,

but bitter still, hollow inside
you learned to trust and then
I came along to give you pride
to learn the ways of selfish men

I passed on this one, I just read and enjoyed. My muse seems to be in an immobile state today.

and it was there I sought you out, my dear
where your grief was spent and bare
in the light of nevermore, you thought to hide away
in the right of one's pure love, you gave to me my say

so take my hand, as 'tis mine to give
and trust in me, that we both shall live,
come now, my dear, and harbor in me,
that which you might call, sweet tranquility...
