Saturday Morning

Saturday mornings were never meant
For vodka and poetry
We should be sleeping late
Dreaming of each other
But the seasons like the days
This we were not given
Saturday I’ve never known you
To be less forgiving

Stayed up late, did you? But a smile, nevertheless, was evoked....

Saturday mornings
apparently are not made
just for cartoons anymoe

mores the pity and folkways too
remind of us an inner peace
that seeks as we go the thoughtways
of life you need not run but stroll

casually as if you knew
precisely what all and are about
for no one really knows showing
facade hidden by daily toasts

JLR - I don't know any writer who can put more personality in their work than you. I think I've said that before.

Lots of pain in your writing at this time, isn't there.  And I get the impression it's current pain, personal pain.  Sorry.  I write about it at times, but it's just a distant memory with me, and more written from others' discomfort.  Hang in there though...definitely better days ahead...
