Tears I Want To Cry

Endless nights and lonesome dreams
Entrenched memories lost in darkness' gleams
Endless days and lonesome walks
Entwined happiness lost within solitude's stalks

Tears I want to cry are real
Tears of love running wild out of control
Tears of a heart deeply hurt and wounded
Tears seeking warmth long ago dispersed

How should I come to love's path
How can I regain my senses in the aftermath
How must I hide the lost dreams of passion
How can I stop the tears without compassion

Tears I want to cry are morning's dew
Tears of a heart and soul asking for you
Tears I must cry to understand true emotion
Tears needing your soft hands to bring back reason

Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love
(Daniel J D)

Cry the tears, for if you ever teach yourself not to, then you may never be able to again. I love this and know it well. Nice writing.

It is profoundly beautiful, Daniel.

Temptress, Dee, Paula, and Kathleen,
I am fine, just the poet giving some hope to those lost out of love.

Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love

JD~
Enjoyed the format - and the thoughts.

'How should I come to love's path' ?

I think the answer would be,
with open heart .... seeking.
