Fair maiden of darkness come and
encase me in the ebony folds of solace.
Hide my soul in that place
where neither light nor sound doth pass.
See the pits of despair,
as I scream Out in agony.
Suspended is my soul in that place
of absolute darkness.

Just for a should I rest, Encase
this body in that place without hope
or light until the dawn of eternity.
Through the distance of time and space
I hear loved ones calling out to me.
How my heart yearns to cross the abyss
to be with them once more.

I can almost see their faces.
Spiraling out of control, nothing
am I. Am I falling or flying?
I know not. I reach out,
there is no one there.
I scream in terror and
no one can hear.

As a little child I cry,
but no one can hear.
For there is no one there.
My soul reaches towards what
once was, but now is only
a fading memory.

This is beautiful - reminds me of the Priestesses of Avalon in Marion Zimmer Bradley's Mist of Avalon.
