It is years now, though seems
Only a day – since your infectious smile,
Was taken away.

The flame in your eyes –
Once bright, now faded
Left only shadows
And us – now jaded.

The flowers flourish –
Birth of new life,
Our lives empty from
The moment you died.

Yeah I agree, it was sad but it such a loving way that it makes up for the hurt.

Life is a harsh lesson, but enjoyable at times.

He is a dear friend of mine who died very suddenly just over two years ago. He has a undiagnosed heart condition. Went into a coma and ended up having to have the support machine switched off. Was a very trying time for our group. We were extremely close knit.
