All alone left in the darkness
alone living with the rats
coldness griping the mind
disallusion plauging the mind
hatred tormenting the soul
no light
no love
pruely simple disbeliefe
straining to behold the light from above
pain pinching the nerves
saddness haunting the heart
seclusion chaning the whole of it all
no moon
no stars
truly simple disbeliefe
stranging to behold the light from above
the outsider lives in us all.

You are right about the outsider living in us, the trick is not to let it take over. Maggie

Gripping in that the meaning and feelings are so widely shared by every person who reads this. Every person is an outsider for the unique perceptions they share...you grew the feelings into a something tangable with this. ~DW~

Disbelief. I heard something one time...it said....If you don't believe in something you will fall for everything...which makes me think that leaves a person feeling lost and in the dark. Maybe that's where the darkness comes from is not knowing what we are here for. That sense of not knowing what is the reason we are here in the first place. If there is no purpose then it makes you feel lost, not knowing where you are headed. WOW.....sorry about that. I don't know where all that came from, but anyways that's what came to mind to say here. Thanks for sharing this!
