I don’t now if it's my mind or reality
But my paranoia has got the best of me
I know it's not your fault
SHE instilled it inside of me
I want so much to trust you
All I ever want is honesty
You leave for a few hours
    Upon your return face red
        You "fell nasty"
            "Where were you?” I ask
"Does it matter" you sass back
                   "No" but it does
You take a shower
Come out like nothings the matter
Maybe nothing was,
Maybe you were just crying

My paranoia has the best of me

I apologize a million times for my million flaws you'll never know
Deep inside me I know it’s not true
But deep inside I make myself believe
Can you save me from myself?
Or will I get to me first
I think I thirst for the hurt
But I don't want to be

My paranoia has the best of me

Eor  I really enjoyed this piece.  It's so hard, learning to trust again after having been betrayed.

"I think I thirst for the hurt"

I have felt that way so many times.  As almost to say, we don't deserve to be loved, only hurt.

So lord I see you grinnin' must be grand always winning....AIC

Hi Eor, awesome poem!

"I apologize a million times for my million flaws you'll never know" -- geez, I remember feeling this way a few years back...this, too, used to be a large component of my poetry.  Somehow, I got past it, guess I changed my situation.

Keep posting, I'll keep reading!

Or will I get to me first. The twist of the poem. The write has it should be. The journey, the thought, The premise so sought.

great write eor, The deeper the better, but don't lose the letter. Enjoyed.

Isn't it funny how people from our past will remain with us forever , even when we DONT want them to.  That the little words they say will haunt our thoughts till we learn to overcome them.  That the darken shadows hide our true colors from past pain.  Or is it that we hide in the shadows so other can't see our true colors?  Too scared to feel the heartache of yet another?  Why is it so difficult to trust again?  You would think trusting would be a gift.  Yet many times it is the scariest thing to ever do.

Wonderful Poem....

eor, don't mean to keep bothering you here. But your poem strikes me as new age poetry. If there is such a thing? Again, nice job on this one.

Could tune the guitar to it any day.

captivating moments in this scene between two
and one is often made self-conscious of what
was at the root of that 'dark' moment.

crying in the shower

sounds like something i do.

except i'd probably tell where i was.

this put me in both positions.. something that isn't often captured enough. I put myself in two pairs of shoes here.. either way,
I lost.

Great write, as always, eor..you have a way.
