I’m my own worst enemy and the world is no friend Who can I look up to? On whom can I depend? In my mind, my life has begun a downward, spiraling trend In my heart I feel a pain you could never comprehend In my life I’m under constant assault but feel no need to defend Through my eyes I see hypocrisy and hate, Some try to explain with no desire to relate I’m under your constant scrutiny Placed on thin ice as you wait for me to fall through None of these things are new to me But still I fail to do what I know is just and true It’s my choice not to succeed, but I still sense your control You could never hurt me physically, what you damage is my soul |

Nice write, strong feelings. The future encompasses a multitude of directions that we can follow. Search your heart for outside influences will most likely be detrimental in most cases. You are you and no one is like you. Your power is within your self. Tap onto the positive sensations within your own heart and clearer feelings will surface. mysticpoe |
