Well... this is my first poem posted here ^_^ I hope you all like it. Its basically on the spot

Gently the snow fell,
almost like little feathers in the sky.
I walked along the cold darkened path,
on my way to his grave.

A single red rose, I held in my hand.
"His favorite" I said to myself
the color stood out so greaty,
just like he did.

Upon arriving the desolate place,
shrouded in trees, covered in snow,
I set the rose down on the cold snowy earth,
thinking of the times when we were one.

I smiled, then turned away,
leaving him to his rest.
The wind blew i a comforting way,
and I finally knew...
I finally knew he was content.

^_^;

Very nice effort for your first dark poetry post. I liked that there was comfort in the end.

Marilyn.
