My mother has died,
She helped so many,
What few favors she asked,

I wished to aid her,
But I was caught,
In my wants and selfish thoughts,

I know I cheated,
I left her feeling depleted,

I wanted to help,
All the while,
She did not let out a yelp,

She did many tasks,
Then I wonder,
Why she did not ask?

For a helping hand,
To make her stand,

She could barely breath,
As if something choked,
The pain she could not sheathed,

Why didn’t I learn her worth?
Oh, I am so sorry mother earth.

Your mom died? I'm so sorry. That really must hurt. And to be honest we often don't really understand how valuable someone is until we lose them. It's not your fault.

we are so careless the way we treat the earth which is beginning to come back to haunt us and will haunt our children even more
