Mud

oozing through
his fingertips
as he grabbed
the final slice
of life

Mud

last moments spent
face down
in it,
remembering
playing
games of

War

the last kiss of life
offered again in mud.

It’s enough to make you
give up some childhood memories.

Mud Pies

once pleased
my senses.

Sorry if this gave anyone a pain in the heart, but I have a great big pain in my heart right now, for the daily loss of life thrown at us on TV...a constant reminder of human mudbaths.
I'm just trying to clean up my tiny spot on the planet.
