Soldiers Are Angels To

In the background,
Factories stand tall.
Soldiers marching,
In front of a sulphur sky.
Burnt soldiers,
Decayed by the deadly,
(Flash)
(Silence)
(Roar)
Angels of the sky,
That were supposed to save them.
From this.

This suburban idyll,
They were escaping from.
Now why do the soldiers,
March back towards it.
The monotone monotonous grunt,
Of the advance on this retreat.
Drip, drip.
Thud, thud.
Driving a hole into the mind.
Why destroy what you are trying to save?
But the man on TV!
It all made so much sense,
Then.
And so the soldier marches on.
Oblivious.
The judgmental foot is lifted, leering, IT KNOWS!
Suddenly the soldier realises!
But the angels will decide.
"Daddy ?"
(Flash)
(Silence)
(Roar)
Too late.
Where to next? Leader.

That was a great poem! Wow....I really like how you worded the poem! It had so much meaning....I love poems like this one that goes beyond deep to me. I loved it! Wow wow wow...keep up the good work!

(tears fall down my cheeks) What's so hard is how those who never wanted war are being felt like if they don't want war they don't support the troops and that is not true whatsoever, for it is not the troops carrying out the policy! (sad sigh) My heart and prayers go out to all the victims on both sides, dearest friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet friend, thank you for sharing!
