somebody's dungeon

The sun has disappeared
love, like the day, faded
went over the horizon
and I doubt shall ever return.

The darkness now covers all.
Earth is in the deep of shadow,
the moon plays, stars dance.

Yet

without love, a wallflower,
I care not for the beauty
of night shaded sky. The stars,
in step, to this I'm blind.

Love, like the day, faded
went over the horizon,
and I know shall never return.

A dance
upon dark curtain,
I'm certain, will not refresh
a rose in death.

Yes!  Ah...just as in Sparknotes, your intelligence shines here in your poetry!  I'm glad to actually read some of your work.  You've got a good use of words (keeping it simple and using 'less is more') and the imagery and similes are stupendous!  This will be a favorite of mine for a long time!
