Sudden clouds hover
like black crows
over my head,
obscuring the sun
darkening my mind.
Words as sharp
as a butcher’s knife
cut my serenity
into pieces
bleeding to death.
I yearn for
nothingness,
stopping my breath.
I glide into silence,
erasing connections.
Once I had felt loved.
I faintly remember
submerged tunes
of nightingales.

great image:

Words as sharp
as a butcher’s knife
cut my serenity
into pieces
bleeding to death.

the old saying: stick ans stones... etc. is incorrect - words can be like knives, and cut extremely deeply.

Thank you friends for reading and sharing your thoughts.
Sometimes darkness enfolds us painfully .... thanks to God at the end of the tunnel the light waits ...

Clarity and profundity in poetry of obscurity and gravity. Nice
