My hands are tied
My lips are sealed
I cannot live
In world unhealed

I drink pollution
I eat the dust
My heart and soul
Have turned to rust

I breathe the hate
That surrounds the gate
To Hell’s front door
We march evermore

I cannot survive
I am not a Pavlovian dog
You cannot say
Jump to a  war song
And expect anything
But a growl from my lips

So perhaps it’s best
I find a new home
Where the bone is
Gravied in love

Hi Jason. Pavlov's experiments showed how readily animals respond to stimulus, and how conditioned they (we)are to finding food and basic needs, and that many of our responses/reactions are quite predictable. Like Pavlov's dogs, we are 'conditioned' to respond to threats/treats in a given way...tit for tat, violence against violence, money for favors etc.etc.

Or did I completely misunderstanding Psych 101 and Sociology 101, not to mention Philosophy and History of the World?

Lol,ok now I remember, though I never got past 101 anything. We are all conditioned aren't we? I also shy away from "knee jerk" reactions. It is sad that most of us continue to follow the " Same old piper, differant lure"

Thank you majnu, this was written from pure frustration at hearing all the war hoops, knowing it's the same old story of the ages again. I'm bored with humanity.

Kacy,

I love the sentiment in this. How so very true.  When you find that new home I hope you'll post it, for many of us wish for the same place on earth to live cleanly and freely.

Hugs, Pat
