If I could turn over a rock
To find my Prince so true
Never in my wildest dreams
Would I ever again be blue
He would ride upon a horse
Taking me away from this land
Holding me close by the ocean
Kissing me gently in the sand
He would wear shining armor
Protecting me from the storm
The storm of many colors
While keeping me all warm
His eyes would shine like crystals
Shimmering in the light
Once glance and I am hooked
As the sun shines so very bright
He would love me till the end of time
Unconditional love that is known
Never would he leave my side
He would put me on his throne

A friend, like a candle, is most needed in the darkness.

Too nice, too gently longing to be in DARK POETRY I think. Nice read.

Thanks for the comments, most appreciated.  And for the posting in DARK POETRY.  Well I have been here along time ( Under another name for a few years also... Dark _kisses_Within)  And I have always posted at least 95% of my writing here in this forum.  Whether it be sad, dark or loving... this is where I consider home.

Thanks again
Mags

So sweet...this reminds me of someone I know.  I almost wish he could be that for me...maybe in another life.  I have been away for a while, but I remember you and your work.  I'm back to stay for a while...maybe the long haul.  I do still love your writing.

Spirit - just for your information. Even though all the forums have specific-sounding names such as 'spiritual,' 'dark' etc, this doesn't mean that ONLY poems of that nature can be posted there. The names are more of a signal of the type of poetry that is customarily placed there. However, you'll find that most forums develop a regular group of posters who post poems on many different subjects. Thus, in dark, you'll find many poems that aren't so dark (and, at any rate, the term dark is subjective isn't it? Who is to say what 'dark' really is). Dark kisses has, as she says, been posting here for a long time, because this is the forum she feels the most comfortable in, and identifies with the most...
