And these words I try to combine coerce into rhyme fight me back each time sabotage each line But again I try until the pen is dry I pick up a pencil and stare at the page stare into the spotlight, frozen on stage Open my lips to speak even to cry If only I could the moments slip by Breathing their lies I am forced to shut my eyes But how long can I hide before the doubts collide erode my state of mind and leave me blind? "I don't need to scream for you to deem me aggravation." |
