I sit here In this old shack And watch the children Play The toddler, costumed In dime-store jewelry Packing what she thinks important Into an oversized purse Wobbling toward her illusory life In a woman’s heels The little warrior Girded in armor, too large Wielding blades, too heavy Slaying his imagined dragons Unheeding that which awaits The juvenile judicator Wearing borrowed robes Peering over a too tall bench To offer opinion, ungrounded Meting appraisals, unfounded They bore me [This message has been edited by wranx (11-14-2002 02:00 PM).] |

Reminds me of something When you realise life is nothing but a bunch of children playing, including those most "mature", it becomes boring and tasteless |
