Spectacular blow
out of nowhere
connects with the temple
to wrestle the ego
blurred conciousness scars
indestructable angels
fragments of illumination
sharp vampire recoil
crumbling ashes of
shape shifting ether
seduced by adventure
raped by experience

Heretic

I liked the wry, worldly feeling of this. My only bit of contention is you title the poem "Head wound" and yet it appears to be more about life's blows. Love the way you tangled words into new meanings. Hmm, perhaps "Blows to the head"? Wound makes me think of an open, bloody thing.

Yep! life's blows.....I might have entitled this brain damage! I kind of like the dichotomy of interpretation...just to make you think a bit!

Yanno? These things never do, quite heal.

Phrenology, anyone?

I agree with bsquirrel
it seems to be about the hard blows life deals to you
I thought it was going to be more about a physical head wound
but nonetheless I enjoyed it a lot
