somebody's dungeon

You spoke quite hushed this week-end,
your voice only a whisper at my ear.
yet the sense of what you spoke to me
was never really clear,
though for once, I felt a touch.

Caress perhaps of mind
with words you spoke of memories
love of another time,
a place we can't get back to
it's just too hard to find.

I don't know what to remember
what to place within the file
pictures must be saved
the sincerity of smile.

There are just too many questions
with no answers that will fit
the truth that you created
there's nothing that will sit
just right , just perfect...

Making this a tragic history
on kodak paper nice and flat.

This leaves me with a sort of lost & desolate feeling...like a picture of smiles worn & faded. well done...

What a very clear picture of loss, and well done it was.

A smile costs nothing but makes someone rich.
