This is the kind of poem I write when I have writers block. Not sure if it qualifies as dark poetry exactly but oh well.

Sitting here tapping my pencil against the table,
bright lights blurring my eyes
Staring at a blank piece of paper,
tapping my feet impatiently on the cold, tiled floor
Waiting for inspiration

Trying to think of words to describe how I feel
To dream up something that could touch the world
Watching the shadows play across the wall
My big vocabulary is absolutely useless here
My muses voice remains silent

I start to doodle, shapes without forms like my thoughts
anything that will fill up my blank sheet
Staring at a blue wall trying to arrange my feelings into recognizable patterns
To build something out of nothing
But I am absolutely uninspired
