Status quo
The grey normality
The absolute abolished
By massed mediocrity

Poured into history’s funnel
Minority left on the sides
Majority gathers in the centre
Slipping through without a trace

As for today’s absolute
They are tomorrow’s mediocrity
Only the abnormal will survive
And they will define normality

Zall, I love that history is a funnel in this poem.
I think that's worth verse on its own, don't you think?
