Ordinary Words

He swayed
as if in a dream,
toward me
Lingering upon
the precipice of acceptance
with eyes glowing radiant
Withholding a sweet secret
he alone could whisper
to love starved ears.
I watched not his hands
as they reached for the unseen.
For I was entranced by
promise and beauty,
and this feeling so right.
My eyes drifted closed,
enthralled with such emotion,
hypnotized.
As with arrow shot,
he pierced my heart,
with look of memory best forgotten, turning
away from this tale once spun.
My soul drained empty of its life blood,
love lay spilled upon the floor, and he has run....
Having murdered true emotion
with so few ordinary words.... goodbye my love

Once more, I'm felled by your not so "Ordinary words".

Have I told you, lately, how well you write?
