somebody's dungeon

Fight for sleep
raging against
the sheets

too tight
not right

tangled
in the bed
a spider
in web

fitfully turning
dementia's fog

the mind
with no switch

for sleep
I itch

complain
to the rails
bumping, thumping
lack of sleep wails

pillows
then tossed
brain cells
are lost

no replenishing
done

in a fit of
dark rage

caught
insomniac cage

careening
in rest
I'm lifeless
at best

brain wired
too tired

still sleep
I resist
in shambles
mind twist

a coma
I lack

halcion
attack

false sense
of REM

sanity
quite dim.

Anne,
The way you worded this
I felt like I was tossing
(in the sea)
with ya.
