The floor below me shuddered as I smiled and
looked up toward the starry sky.  I used to
think the future was up there amongst the stars.
But now they are the glittering constants
guiding my thoughts and reflections as this
hull below me tilts and shudders as she plunges
into the deep excstatic oblivion below.

People are generally panicked, I think.
I'm just grinning; death is inevitable, who can
stop it?

My feet were tempted to slide with the grain
as the loving home turned further and further
on end.  But I hold steadfast in my position.
If this place is going to hell it's not my fault
and it's not my problem.  It will be a nice
change; the dang thing never could float anyway.
The second in command told me she wanted to
outdo the last cruise that crossed these waters.
She broke up too, and now she's down there
somewhere.

oh well,
you messed it up
it's hell,
but then so is life

I watched as bodies tore past
The kids stood there taking one
last shot, one last puff of the stuff
knowing it would be their last.

"If history is to change, let it change. If the world is to be destroyed, so be it. If my fate is to die, I must simply laugh"

I believe we are given but one life, we get one shot, one chance. Death is no better or no worse. Live each day as if its your last.

f7,
This reminds me of the best moment of Titanic,
after Winslet being drawn.
