I have absolutely NO bloody business writing this -- but it's forcing itself out in waves. Grrrr.

This poem is far far far far far from over. I'm a madman. What am I doing?

Mikey

One deck later
The Fool:
And so I am born.
And I miss the crayolas.
And I miss the cigarettes.
And I miss the hands of lovers.
And I miss that chocolate scent,
the one within the bottle.

And so I am born.
And so I wait new eyes.

The Magician:
Watch this dark cloth
become pebbled with mints,
red and white specks
to start an end.

The High Priestess:
She watches me through veils,
a gauzy grid of understanding.
Standing by a pillar's shadow,
holding to the thought of weighing
who I am and who I'm not,
and who I will never be.
I see within the shadow's light
that she has found a cup for me.

She has found a cusp for me.

The Empress:
She is her throne,
her soil below throne,
rocks among the soil,
and sky that rains its way.

Among rows, seeds of things.
Will they offer shade to stand?
Someday, the sun's gold light
to offer her what she gave him?

The Emperor:
He built out of her stone
a gate for her garden grove.
He ate from her soil
all the plants she bore.
He shook gray into the light
so his words would need a guide.

To offer then the rules he made
within the sun's gold light of day.

The Hierophant:
Open book to read this verse.
Not the stones across your tongue,
but every moment there within.
And with these rules, come back to him.

And this..plus all the rest of the brilliance contained within this poem, came while fatigued???? Well that's it then, I'm firing my muse!! Excellent!! Enjoyed what you have here, and am sure will enjoy when you are through making it what you want it to be.

Thanks for reading, Anne. By fatigued, I meant I was too fatigued to go on with the poem at this point. Where it breaks off right now makes no sense. The only reason I even got through to the Hierophant is because once I did the Empress, I had to the Emperor, which means I'd also have to do the Hierophant.

I know, that made little to no sense. I'm glad you're being patient with me.

no business? eh?

smiling...oh...but not so...

you are so in tune with the language of the subconscious, this does not surprise me at all--you write in archetype Mikey--natural witch, YOU...

oh yes...oh yes...can't wait for part II--You should read The Order of The Golden Dawn--it gives a nice background on the artistry concerning the well-known Rider-Waite deck---it's almost as fascinating as your poem...

The only thing, that mars a reading, is the ego of intellect, btw...

this reads...like...um...a reading!

Uhh, Squirrel dude? Are we talkin' 78 here?
Or just the Major Arcana?
Cause if 78, you're gonna need more bandwidth.

BTW, though at present, I relate to your next card, you will find me in the Hermit.

This is so cool, Mike. Hope you enjoy this as much as I (we) enjoy the read.

Does this mean that I'm your Muse? Huh? Does it?

As a P.S.,
thanks for the compliment, Sen. And I'll have to check out the book. (Lori, says if I do buy a deck, it has to be the Thoth deck -- she's so cute!!!)

Also, wranx ... (whoa, dusting off ancient dialect here):
ah suppose it does.

Mike

Thanks again, all!
