the kitchen floor
a mirror tile sheen
the window light dancing
in black and white cream
back porch adjacent
flies dead in the screen
cat tail twitches
in time to clock beats
one
two
three
fast forward the century
lonely life
now encompased
in color tv

leafserenade,
and once it's encased/entombed in that blue tv light,
suddenly its nostalgia,
not hell.
(or is it?)

Loved this poem.

I don't know why, but for some reason this piece made me feel lonely and angry, almost as though there was a bit of history that was forever lost...thought-provoking and beautiful!
