Stunned first to bovinity, looking around for a
bed of drab hay in which to lay, one next seeks
the executioner's hammer blow between dullard eyes.

For surely Love lost is death
and surely grief begs we join it.

Ripping one's flesh seems quite to the point
but hari kari seems contrived by an occidental
(however mental) and the responding cops
would only laugh at the headband.

But the mind races at times like these and the
Lover, left and lost, must be punished.

Guns too messy and precludes an open casket
(essential to the play)

The rope seems romantic but no appropriate setting
(read symbolic)
and the incident report would read you crapped yourself.

There is the thrill of pills to fill to sleep
perchance to dream
but you may awaken in a pond of puke.

Did I dream that Love, was it chaos at it's best
so Quixotic was it's quest?
No, the pain is quite physical.
The hole I fell in had pungee sticks which yet
lets the air out of my soul.

The loss posseses me and I
must posses the loss.....so
the mental hygienist suggests
I floss far to the rear to pry
the plaque'd past, examining
the remnants of unchewed meals
which cause loss before decay

and yes, it's there and true,
I'm cleaner but,
I hurt Baby,
Baby I hurt!

This portion reminds me of one of my favorite poems:

Razors pain you;
Rivers are damp;
Acids stain you;
And drugs cause cramp.
Guns aren't lawful;
Nooses give;
Gas smells awful;
You might as well live.

Love lost is a grieving process. I like the tooth cleaning analogy at the end too. *Hearthugs* Richard. A vivid and sometimes startling metaphor you have written here.
*Hearthugs* Richard, with sighs.

I dunno, RSW
I think this was semi-brilliant. (a high compliment)

I will read more from you.

In reply to "which way do we go?", the answer was never "straight", but, "progressively forward".

Thank you both for your courageous replies to a post most would consider unapproachable. I tire of the polite society of namby pamby (though I play it well(s)). I'm in serious pain and while I could disguise it in language which is palatable by the standards of those who deem themselves "norm" I am not emptied of my feelings. Life is all a dance and Love it's ballet. One misstep and yer out. I'm empty of joy and full of the ending of what passes for life. I'll be Ok. What alternative have we? Prove re-incarnation and
I'll cash in now. Elstwise read me.

noticed the second "bovinity" tonight
(see serenity)
cows abounding!
this one took me from horrored heights
to laughing lows
sorry about the pain
but this was fantastic

and? sigh...I am need to thank richard for the bovinity..maybe...chuckling...

I saw that word, and honestly, as Kamla once told me? I din't like it. So? As I do with things I don't like? I challenged myself to "love it." and yes, if Dr. Freud is present? DO SEND HIM TO ME...I wanna have a long talk with him about cigars...

I am the namby pamby that cannot write
like this...
though the feelings are there...
my internal parts
never allow exposure...
the explode shall one day
implode, I'm sure...
but for now,
I'll let you be the voice...
