Rearranged by soiled fingers and defiled thoughts
Glorified by their thoughtless caresses
Surely purpose derives from pain
But this pain cowers under a veil of assurance
Lips of fire can scorch
And pain does not always generate pleasure
Rupture my voice and seal your ears, but hear this:
The gaping hollow of my soul cannot be mended
By the touch of strangers

this poem made me stop in my tracks.
there's much you've said here in these few lines.
your words are true, melancholy, and determined.

the way i like my poetry. well penned.

it's our struggle for identity that leaves us all unknown
