Moved from a shack to a barn

The Darkness
Visits me daily, now
Casting its’ foul pall
About me
And works its’ way
Into me

Seeping
Filling
My lungs
With cloying ooze
A choking treacle

It grasps my heart
In bony fist
Squeezing reminders
That it is
Above all

Irresistible

The shortest distance between two points...
is sometimes, intolerable.

Yes! That is exactly what it's like. A dark ink BLOT that darkens everything with it's deep black ooze. A perfect description. Yet we do, for some odd reason, find it irresistible. Good job Wranx.

Quit Smoking!

don't let it stay
and settle familiar-like
It can get to be company
but,
you problably already know
so

"With cloying ooze"
"In bony fist"

One could never come to know such vivid a darkness without also knowing it's opposite... We as humans only can understand by relation... We know bad because we've tasted good..We know hurt because we've experienced the absence of it...

A born-blind man doesn't truly comprehend what we mean by GREEN grass... as one born without a nose couldn't understand that although all are born with a**h*les, some are larger and thus carry a more undesirable aroma...lol

In other words, you've experienced all too well what you speak of, and convey it such that those blind or without olfactory abilities still understand...I.E. touche'!

Me totally thinks simply
That the lead singer of The Firm
Wouldn't have a shed of a clue
On this one.

The darkness here finally slaps away the images of fine young beauties dressed in bunny outfits wielding white guitars they know not how to play. This one was

I can only hint at the darkness, as I've had my fair share of battles wranxy...haven't we all? I think that knowing something is "bad" for you makes you want it ALL the more (well, me anyhow)grins...

enjoyed your chilling travel through, as always sweet man...

You did it.  You somehow wrote about a vicegrip that's ... gentle...
