Free Will

If Sin were a beautiful woman
With hell hounds from her womb
And scaly coils that circle around
Like a cold reptilian tomb

Would you partake of the ashes
From her fork-tongued mouth that fall
And rape her against the gates of hell
In the guise of Satan’s pall?

If Death were the offspring created
From the nefarious tryst you engaged
Causing hell’s gates to swing open
And vengeance the battle now waged

Would you still find her so tempting
If you knew that your debt would be paid
By creating a bridge to your brothers
And spreading Death’s touch like a plague?

If Satan should whisper so softly
To your darkest desires and laud
The rebellion that burns in you deeply
To forge yourself into a G-d

Would you take of the fruit that he offers
And believe that the power is yours
In spite that the apple is rotted
Like flesh covered in gangrenous sores?

Free will is a gift from the heavens
And Satan permitted to lie
By G-d’s Holy providence only
And the omniscient gaze of His eye

The unholy trinity’s power
Was conquered with blood as the cost
Sin still is a beautiful woman
But Christ regained paradise lost?

Yikes! This is provocatively powerful.
How on earth do you keep doing this??

You have a great sense about you.

I admit this one vexes my mind a bit--but I tend to interpret scripture symbolically--and there is so much here to sort through. (or is it that I am having another dense moment?) but...I did want to ask about the "G-d"--um...enlighten me, please? And yep, you've got me thinking here!

Exactly what I was thinking...unmentionable name of G-d...and now, as always, my questions always tend to have a follow up--I am a student of kaballah, and without going into great detail here--would love to know your thoughts on this...

Ok now you hit my sweet spot!!! Hmmmm I’m not sure exactly what your asking but Ill a tell you a few of my view points on Kabbalah.  We all seek to imbue our lives with significance and rationale, which Kabbalah can help with. We aspire to lucidity of visions and power of belief. Unfortunately, very few of us are born possessing the aptitude to act intuitively on our natural purpose. Until here recently, Kabbalah’s philosophical and intricate wisdom were inaccessible to western society’s.  Never the less some info filtered down and found its way into other cultures and religious traditions both east and west, which I’m not sure how good that was. Considering how it’s been mistranslated.

Tale has it that an individual is not thought to begin study until the age of 40, preferably by then after being married and with children. These factors are approved for mental and emotional stability. This is because the forces of Creation are unleashed in the mind and psyche of one who studies this ancient art, and they will drive an ordinary person insane. Well I can ramble on and on about this subject but personally I think its splendid that you are studying Kabbalah …When I mention that I study Kabbalah …I get a lot of criticism saying its evil, Satanism and other nonsense. But when I hear this… it just tells me that person hasn’t bothered studying Kabbalah.  Anyway I get a little discouraged knowing that in one lifetime we cannot fully study the whole of Kabbalah but maybe we can try to get some understanding of life.

Sorry I rambled on and on...The subject of religion can get me started...lol

I don't know if you have read anything by Rabbi David A. Cooper (G-d is a verb Kabbalah the practice of mystical Judaism)...it's a great book if you haven't already read it.

I am familiar with QBLH, though not deeply at all. I see it as yet another tool to gain insight, though certainly not the only one.
