SHIVER

Bound by skin's Simplicity,
Giddiness turns around;
To face a rival Bitterness,
Which your Eyes & Lips surround.

Beneath the Wanderings torn apart,
You'll find this Woman -who Burns-
To be Needed, Wanted, Saught upon,
& from this she never learns.

Haunting Darkness-Taste me-
Glide across my Shallow Heart;
Take this as my Slinder Frame,
Becomes Whole, then falls Apart.

Know that, Essence in its Purest form,
Is an Angel who Weeps alone;
Tears that reach the Sky from above,
Is but an Emotion left unknown.

One day Men will look back & say
that I gave birth to the 20th Century

This piece was very deep, and dark. I loved it... one of those that you completely understand but if someone asked you to explain it would be beyond words. Wonderful job...

Ethereal, dark, broken, strong, beautiful.

Reminds me of the work of singer Monica Richards (of Faith and the Muse).

And just by uttering that, I am inviting Lori to come down on my head.

Loved th' words in this!

like being lost in an October evening... and not like lost on the map either.
i loved the first line. it made me stop... what a great line.
the second stanza gave me a bittersweet smile.

haven't seen ya in a while... but then i been pretty random round here myself...
nice to see ya.
eloquent and haunting as usual.

it's our struggle for identity that leaves us all unknown
