HeartBreak

And the darkness falls, bringing with it
the shadows of the night
where terror sneaks upon the heart
to lay claim with clammy hands
Gripping one within its hold, only to
be released by the breaking of the dawn
The sun begins to rise as yet another
heart, broken by cruelty is laid to rest

a line from jewel rang in my head...
"hearts are broken everyday"

your poem could be put on the grave marker...
enjoyed it

Ouch! Unflinchingly lost to love. I enjoyed your words.

I always marvel at the way that you can express yourself. Loved this one as well.

I loved the way you used your words so well in this. It showed how when you lose love you feel dead... and sometimes you are, inside. Thanks.
