Sorry Mike...just couldn't get that phrase together in this one...my muse no likey today I guess...grins...

Orchid Memory

Dark layers of tomb
surround my sunshine,
as I fade
into
the gray of you…

I wilt to shades
of orchid-
shades of moss,
shades…
of gone

as I weep
as you lay

as I weep
still, so still
you stay

Conjuring hope
in icy touch-
one kiss
one hand-fist
of dust

as I weep
as you lay

morning dew
gathers
to grace my eyelids

as I weep
still, so still
you stay.

Blowing wind-chilled kisses
I challenge you
to rise…
~Alas~
even I
am not so
convincing.

as I weep
as you lay
Frost bitten goodbye
on the top
of a coffin box

flowers of orchid memory-
and your tomb.

Open arms can be the most fragile in the world...

Tanya, I think you just wrote some very good lyrics. I do hear a song here.

You people are starting to (annoy) me off.

Getting wranxed up!

Devina, I love this poem. Beautifully haunted, like reading Wuthering Heights in a rainstorm (or so I imagine). Damn, I love yr writing!

this silences me...so I can hear the feeling behind the words
