stucco ceiling novel

     the cat stretches

fan doesn't blur
              the residue air

a fly?
or a stray
hair

space can't hold my gaze

     slugs in the sun

the last breath

mumbled?
long distance
phone

conch shell ears

     counting eyelashes

stirring tongue
             lips fall open

dust?
the taste of
silence

I never aimed at reality; I aimed at truth. --Orson Welles

Palette balm smooth,
Tongue silvered silent.

Heh heh, nice work, BS.   No fair though -- this one's more surreal than my surreal-challenge one.

This painted vividly the sparseness of "alone"--I almost looked for a sleeping stranger next to me, to ask--"what is your name again?"

bit of a jolt, but I LIKE jolts...

you always surprise me with a different twist o thought.
