Family Troubles ----- Take it into your mind All at once Take your time Your father just left Your newly pregnant mother And still you seem to hover But she won't confess You are old Only twelve years With a family of eight Excluding your father Who you hate You are old enough for tears The doctor just called And your mother has been out It appears she is in the hospital Or so you hear him shout "She overdosed on heroine" The doctor says to you Being the oldest sibling And your life is narrowing Everything remains true "She died this morning."
