"Flesh Angels"

Flesh angels hearken
to each newborns’ wail

Flesh angels take flight
to follow life’s’ journey

Flesh angels await
the inevitable fall

Flesh angels circle
those that are stricken

Flesh angels alight
to scavenge the outcome

~wranx

Always been intrigued by Braughtigan's description of buzzards as "flesh angels", so I thought I'd rip off a dead guy.

The shortest distance between two points...
is sometimes, intolerable.

Interesting Write, Wranx. If you hadn't given an explanation at the bottom, this could have very well painted a horrific picture...

Ripping off dead guys is perfectly fine, when you get poems like this. Though I will pretend they're just really some sort of macabre, terrifying angels, since that's yummier.

written in blood before everything went black
