Once, I contemplated suicide. It was a bad time. It was Christmas. The wife had run off with an ex-con. With her went, the cash, The house, The cars. The failing business that we owned seemed pointless. My father, I just discovered was terminal, less than a month remained So, I contemplated, the how, the where, the when. And it seemed, easy Until, I contemplated the Who that would discover the thing, that once was me I concluded, that if I were concerned that much about the poor soul, luckless enough, to find my leftovers, maybe, I should reconsider ___________________________ And it's a good thing that I did. 'Cause now I'm a famous T.V. personality! Sheesh! ~wranx "Writing is a perfectly natural thing to do...provided it's done in private and you wash your hands afterward"....Heinlein. |

Somehow, things always do right themselves, huh? And people're always stronger for it. Great read. "Silly bunny, there are no monsters in here." - Chrys, from Gloom Cookie |

I don't think I've ever seen it put better (or funnier in that weird juxtamix way you have)-- the stepping away from the edge. BS. I never aimed at reality; I aimed at truth. --Orson Welles |
