There is no greater fool
than he believing he could
never be
I am excluded,
for a fool I was indeed...

My soul scraped over your
turpitude      willingly

not necessarily needy
nor entirely greedy
but perhaps,

wantonly...

You believed yourself
the cynosure among all
& I desirously paid homage
to your talents-

indeed, they were many...

With you, I'd learned
the meaning of excess
true abandonment
walking the edge,
so to speak from a
chair before a glare

I allowed myself to
be led along the precipice
of destruction
smiling at your lies
Another junkie seeking
the redemption of your
virtual body...

Your orchestrated nightmares
were my wish, my desire
I was strung out on your mind
a hapless bum grateful
for hand outs

I= fool

Then came the rude awakening
you, my drug of choice
Gone
the back ups,
Gone!
And our child,
you'd obsconded with him
in an effort to poison his
mind against me...

but he was never a follower

I dreamed love
spoke the words tentatively
watched it impact & resound
loudly into the remotest corners

three words said under the
the influence of another
sensual high, was the death
knell of the we-
never were...

It wasn't love,
but some egos can never
accept being used...

after all, what kind of
fool dare I take you for?

Damn! Tiersdin,
You gotta cut this out. Each piece that I read gets better, more competent, more confident.

Stop it now, I say! While I still have my illusions.
