Today
I find myself
receding
into the darkness.

My comfort zone.

I am not afraid
of the dark.
It's the light
of day I fear.
For in it,
I see too clearly
the evil man does.

Much evil shines in the Light,
highlighted to the point
of PAIN.

My eyes hurt.
My heart bleeds.
My soul recedes
into the Darkness.
Today I turn away
from your bright Lights,
for they blind me,
keep me from seeing
the Truth.

Another poem in there is right! In fact, several. Loved it.

Thank you Mikey. So many poems, so little time.  I love the way you always encourage other readers and writers to release themselves here in the blue.

You supply the spark -- I just enjoy igniting it. Poems like this result.

I haven't been in dark for a while. I've been busy with work. But I'm still glad to pop in and say hi, and read!
