Another day enduring pain
Dear God I pray you stop the rain
If the clouds refuse to break
Then take my soul for goodness' sake
I've walked along this dusty road
Alone I bear this awful load
I wish for peace to find me now
And wipe the sweat from my wrinkled brow
My soul is weary, my heart's in decay
I cannot face another day
So God, please hear my woeful cry
And while I sleep, please let me die
Amen

I hope this is another talented work of yours and not your true feelings, Kris...

I Ditto Tiersdin on that "hoping that this ain't the way you feel part."

Excellent. Makes me want to listen to Brian Wilson singing Lay Down Burden. Sheesh, why do I keep getting musical cues from your work? I love it.

Kris~
I loved this. I haven't been in here lately but when I went through reading all of the poetry your work just stands out to me. You have a true talent.
