a dying bird sings its requiem
one final last lament
the wooden walls are rotting now
while all the grapes ferment

outside beyond the garden
through the weeds and rats
underneath the rafters
past the sleeping cats

dwells a place thats always dark and cold
thats where everything you've forgoten goes
things are covered in dust and mold
but inside it all somthing still glows

knowledge lost and things passed on
wishes and dreams of times forgone
a remembrance of what once was
thats just what happens
it always does
